Gordon E. Parker, Jr. is Founder and Managing Partner of Heritage Business Strategies. A lifelong resident of Coastal Virginia, Gordon's roots are in Suffolk.
He grew up in a four-generation family business that didn't survive to his generation. Good planning, bad planning, divergent technologies, and independent pieces of legislation, are a number of things that drove the family business out. He has spent the last 30 years working with business owners helping them make sure what happened to his family's business doesn't happen to them.
"When I share my story with clients and advisers, they start to understand that I have an entrepreneurial background. I am a business owner and I understand what motivates business owners to take action."
In addition to his clients, Gordon supports the attorneys, trust managers and accountants he works with by providing resources they need and being their "go-to guy" when they have questions. "I am committed to making the advisers look even better to their clients with the value I bring to the table."

He also assists in insurance risk management, portfolio management, and most importantly having meaningful relationships with people that love their family, their community, and like to have fun.
Gordon received his BA in Economics from Hampden Sydney College in 1989. He was President of Virginia Beach Vision 2016-2017, and is on the Board of Governors for the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation.
In his free time, Gordon enjoys surfing, snow-boarding, golf, boating and Oregon Pinot Noirs.
